The information you need
to make a building safe
is captured by the people
who build it.
The term "golden thread" comes from Dame Judith Hackitt's independent review after Grenfell. The Building Safety Act 2022 made it law for higher-risk buildings. But the principle extends to almost any project where an asset owner will one day maintain, modify, or take legal responsibility for what was built.
ThreadLens exists to create that thread, starting at the point where it most commonly breaks: on site, at the moment of installation.
"The information needed to understand, operate, and make safe a building is routinely lost, fragmented, or never captured in the first place." — Dame Judith Hackitt · Independent Review · 2018
